CAPACITY BUILDING

ABI commits to increase and improve the nation’s capacity in Biorisk related subjects through various activities, which include (but not limited to):

  1. providing support and consideration in the drafting and implementation of regulation concerning biosafety, biosecurity, and biorisk management;
  2. promoting biorisk to the society;
  3. facilitating and organizing programs/events (workshop, seminar, training, etc.) to introduce and improve the knowledge both conceptual and technical;
  4. coordinating with the stakeholders on the implementation of biorisk;
  5. actively disseminating information on biorisk, biosafety and biosecurity.

 

As the official member of International Federation of Biorisk Association (IFB), ABI participates in regional and international events as the country’s representative. ABI regularly updates the status of biorisk implementation in Indonesia and keep it in line with the status of biorisk implementation at international level.
